Our Favorite Ring Sizing Tool

Our Favorite Ring Sizing Tool

Let me introduce you to a well loved Ignite favorite!

This is a “Mark-A-Size”! We resize a ton of rings here during our Silver Stacking Rings workshop and this little tool makes quick work of it.

It’s pretty self-explanatory, but basically you assess the size of the ring and what size you would like it to be —then score the band with the size difference. Here at the studio, we mostly use it to remove the section of material to make rings smaller -but it can be used to add material for sizing up as well. It works well for metal and wax rings. If you are doing a lot of production work, I can’t champion this handy little tool enough!

Happy Smithing!
